Roller Shades
Roller shades are a type of window covering consisting of a single piece of fabric that rolls up and down, typically using a spring-loaded or motorized mechanism. They are known for their simplicity, light control capabilities, and sleek, modern aesthetic.
Fabric and Mechanism:
Roller shades are made from a single piece of fabric, usually attached to a roller tube at the top of the window. This fabric can be rolled up or down to adjust the amount of light entering the room and provide privacy. To finish the look, we offer a wide range of cassettes and fascia (covers) to hide the roll.
There are also roller shades that roll up from the bottom using a spring-loaded tension system and wires.
Operation:
They can be operated manually with a chain or cord, a cordless mechanism or they can be motorized for convenient remote or automated control.
Light Control and Privacy:
Roller shades offer a variety of light control options depending on the fabric chosen. They can be made from light-filtering fabrics that allow diffused light to enter while still providing privacy, or from blackout fabrics that block out nearly all light.
Certain systems use two different fabrics in the same window, typically a solar facing the room and a blackout fabric behind it. Each can be used as desired.
